Order Sync for monday.com — Privacy Policy

Order Sync for monday.com ("the app", "we", "us") is a Shopify app that automatically creates and updates monday.com items based on your store's orders. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can have it removed.

What we collect

To sync your orders to monday.com, we process:

• Order information from Shopify webhooks — order number, financial and fulfillment status, tags, notes, sales channel, line items, and total price.
• Customer information attached to orders — name, email, and shipping address, only for the fields your chosen item template or field mappings actually use.
• Your monday.com connection — the OAuth access token, workspace ID, and board ID you connect, so we can create items on your behalf.
• Your shop domain, plan, and app settings (sync filters, routing rules, field mappings, content template).

We do not collect payment card numbers or other financial account details.

How we use it

Order and customer data is used only to build the content of monday.com items and keep them updated as orders change status. It is not used for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.

Who we share it with

Order data you choose to sync is sent to monday.com, to create and update items in your own monday.com workspace — governed by monday.com's privacy policy. We also send our developer a notification (your shop domain and plan name only — never order or customer data) when a store installs the app or upgrades its subscription, purely so we know when to check in on new merchants. We don't share your data with any other third party.

Data retention

We keep a record of each order's sync status (so you can see what synced, failed, or was skipped, and retry it) for as long as your store has the app installed. Your monday.com connection and settings are kept until you disconnect monday.com or uninstall the app.

Your rights (GDPR)

We support Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:

• Customer data request — if one of your customers asks what data we hold about them, we're notified and will respond within Shopify's required timeframe.
• Customer redact — when a customer's data must be deleted, we remove the stored order details tied to that customer from our database.
• Shop redact — 48 hours after you uninstall the app, we permanently delete all data associated with your store, including your monday.com connection and synced-order history.

Uninstalling the app at any time also stops all syncing immediately. Note that items already created in your monday.com workspace are not deleted by us — they belong to your monday.com account and you're free to manage them there.

Security

Your data is stored on our servers and is only accessible to the app for the purpose of processing your syncs. We don't have staff support beyond the developer of this app, so access is limited to what's needed to operate and support the service.
